Fortnite’s new “Tender Defender” skin was originally called “Chicken Trooper” and the initial design was made by an 8-year-old fan of the game. The kid’s dad posted the concept drawing on Reddit, which had some nice ideas, but wasn’t quite a finished enough product for Epic Games to use.

Then a user under the name Etsyturtle2 posted a more refined version of the drawing, and it looks much like the one you can now purchase.

As you can see, the initial design started in September so it took a little bit of time for the skin to enter the game. But it’s still cool to see all of this come together in to something that’s actually in the game now. Epic even reached out to Etsyturtle2 to confirm the skin was coming out soon.

Now that it’s out, here’s what the father of the 8-year-old behind the suit had to say:

You can purchase the new “Tender Defender” skin in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks as an Epic rarity skin.
