Can anybody please help? Many thanks!

I used a disk recovery tool to recover some previously formatted files. However I am having problems with the .docx files [MS Word]. I use Microsoft Office 2013 and below is the message on the screen when I tried to open the recovered word documents: I tried opening with Notepad but all I got was some funny machine language. Any help please, the files are so important!

I have tried from Control Panel user accounts (pick a task), but there is no link remove password. I have Windows XP Professional SP3. Thank you.
